Pam Fraser Solomon Co-Chair Expand Pamela Fraser Solomon MA, DTLLS, FRSA is an award-winning producer/director. She was a senior BBC Drama producer and has directed over a hundred hours of audio dramas. Her television drama productions include producing EastEnders and Holby City. Pam was also the development producer for the BBC short film One Night In White Satin. Pam is a documentary producer and was an executive producer of BBC2’s award-winning Moira Stuart In Search of Wilberforce and a script editor for the autobiographical feature film Farming. Pam has had conference papers accepted for presentation by a number of institutions, including the University of London School of Advanced Study and Les Amis de la Maison Baldwin. Pam trained at Mountview and developed a career in fringe and repertory theatre working for venues including the Sheffield Crucible and Theatre Royal Stratford East. Thomas Wilson Co-Chair Expand Thomas Wilson BA MA PGCE (QTS) FHEA is an arts educator, trainer and academic (having taught at all levels of education during his 20-year career, alongside working as a performer and dance/theatre-maker). He is Co-Programme Director of the unique BA (Hons) European Theatre Arts training programme at Rose Bruford College of Theatre and Performance. In this role he oversees the training of the next generation of practitioners, performers and theatre-makers, particularly for collaborative and innovative practices. As Erasmus-lead for the College he is particularly interested in projects and work that crosses borders: geographically, artistically, and culturally. Thomas has a long-standing interest in governance and its role in empowering organisations and individuals to achieve their aims. He has been a Trustee of Theatre Deli since 2013, becoming Chair in 2016 and Co-Chair in 2020. He sees this role as an extension of his practice as an arts educator, supporting work that develops others and has a tangible impact on wider communities.
Jess Brewster Expand Jessica Brewster is the co-founder of Theatre Deli, and was Artistic & Executive Director from 2007-2020. In early 2020 she took over as the Director of her local theatre in Gloucestershire, The Roses. As a passionate advocate for inclusion in culture she co-Chairs the ground-breaking organisation Artistic Director of the Future, and is Chair of the Tewkesbury Cultural Consortium. Prior to working in theatre, she was a Producer / Director in factual television where her work includes The Great British Bake Off, My Last Summer and Young Mums Mansion.
Jo Crowley Expand Jo has been Executive Producer for award-winning company 1927 since their Edinburgh Fringe debut, overseeing multiple London seasons, national and international co-productions and touring to 32 countries across 5 continents. She is also Producer for Kazuko Hohki and Director of the Total Theatre Awards. She was previously Executive Director of Ridiculusmus and Director of Your Imagination.
Wendy Dempsey Expand Wendy has worked in arts management for 18 years, beginning her career at various commercial theatres including the Empire Theatre, Liverpool and the Lyceum Theatre, London. Wendy managed the Dublin Fringe Festival from 2006-2012. Following a return to London and working as General Manager at Ovalhouse and Theatre Royal Stratford East she is currently Director of Finance & Operations for Create, the UK’s leading charity empowering lives through the creative arts.
David Hinds Expand David Hinds ACMA is a Senior Finance Manager who has worked in the construction industry for over 20 years, providing financial support and strategy implementation of building project management in London & the Southeast. David has a keen interest in theatre along with a member of his family who is a young director active in the industry and led him to Theatre Deli. David is now a member of the Finance subcommittee.
Clive Laing Expand Clive has retired after 40 years working in the City as an investment manager. His keen personal and family interest in theatre led him to Theatre Deli where he is now a member of the Finance subcommittee.
Jesse Romain Expand Jesse trained as a Chartered Surveyor in London before running a property investment firm. He produced plays at Edinburgh, The Arcola Theatre and The Park Theatre. He joined Theatre Deli as a board member in January 2016, recognising his skill and experience within property and theatre might be of use, and as a supporter of the organisation. He still works in property and is now developing his slate as a film producer.
Athena Stevens Expand Athena is a writer, performer director and social activist. She is the Artistic Director of Aegis Productions Ltd, writer on attachment at the Finborough Theatre and Creative Council member and Associate Artist at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. In 2016 Athena’s play, SCHISM, opened at the Finborough Theatre, transferring to the Park Theatre in 2018. Athena was nominated for an Off West End Award Best Female Performance and for an Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre. In 2020 her play SCROUNGER opened at the Finborough Theatre, garnering Athena Off West End Award nominations for Lead Performance In A Play and New Play. Athena's work for Shakespeare's Globe includes DARK NIGHT OF THE SOUL (writer, actor), NOTES TO THE FORGOTTEN SHE WOLVES (curator, director, writer, actor). Other work includes the feature documentary DAY OF SMALL THINGS (Channel 4) and three web series (YouTube). Athena is a contributor to The Stage, The Guardian and iNews. She is a TEDx speaker and a founding member of the Women’s Equality Party. Athena is a Trustee for the Young Women's Trust, a Patron for Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation, founder of the Primadonna Literary Festival and a National Freelance Task Force member. Born in Chicago, she now lives in London. Athena was born with athetoid cerebral palsy.
Grace Dickson Trainee Trustee Expand Grace is a freelance theatre producer and general manager who holds an MA with Distinction in Creative Producing from Mountview Academy, having graduated with a BSc in Mathematics from University of Edinburgh in 2018. She is General Manager for Rhum and Clay, and Assistant Producer to Ellie Claughton, with whom she works for LUNG, Breach and Barrel Organ. Grace is Company Producer for THESE GIRLS and Lagahoo Productions, Executive Producer at Grace Dickson Productions, and Administrator for Burn Bright. She was previously Production Coordinator for LIVE General Management, and has worked for Improbable, Target Live and Global Musicals. Producing credits include Bible John (THESE GIRLS; Ed Fringe 2019, Vaults 2020; Charlie Hartill Theatre Reserve recipient), SPLINTERED (Lagahoo Productions; Ed Fringe 2019, Vaults 2020; Vault Show of the Week, OffWestEnd Award-nominated), We Were Having a Perfectly Nice Time (Conflicted Theatre in assoc. with Grace Dickson Productions; Omnibus Theatre 2020), Catching Comets (Ransack Theatre; The Pleasance & Royal Exchange Theatre 2020), An Act of Care (archipelago; HOME Mcr 2020). As Assistant Producer: Trojan Horse (LUNG), It’s True, It’s True, It’s True (Breach Theatre), CONSPIRACY (Barrel Organ), Who Cares (LUNG) and Joan of Leeds (Breach Theatre) Grace is our first Trainee Trustee, a non-voting contributor. This new year-long role gives the opportunity to learn about the running of an arts charity, without taking on statutory responsibilities.
