Heavily based on lived experience this One-Man-Show Tragi-Comedy follows the journey of two men from different walks of life, as they navigate the realities of long-term incarceration during 1980s Britain. The show delves into the complex relationship between the two men as they find solace in each other's company, literature, and other ‘treats’ while coping with past traumas and mental health struggles.Poignant and often funny, Something To Take Off The Edge also has a deeper purpose; It aims to encourage reading and promote literacy among prisoners and also promote inclusivity and accessibility in the arts and society by exploring the idea of how personal life stories and events can be transformed into works of literature, performance, and other forms of art. Since 2011, he's won awards for his spoken word performances, including Best Spoken Word Artist at The Poetry Awards 2019. He occasionally works with ex-offenders and promotes literacy and creativity among young people. Errol created Word On The Kerb, a mobile Open Mic platform for creative expression in public spaces. He's also acted on stage, screen, and in communities, featuring in award-winning films. His first one-man show, Something to Take off the Edge, explores life, redemption, and the power of art.
