Following updated government guidelines regarding social distancing, the spread of COVID-19 and the expected duration of the current pandemic, we have taken further measures to ensure the safety of our staff, members, artists and audiences. ALL Theatre Deli venues will now be closed until 30th April 2020, for all performances, rehearsal activity and working space arrangements. Bookers and tenants not notified during our initial closure announcement who are set to be affected by current arrangements will be notified within the coming days.

This remains an ever changing situation, and our teams in London and Sheffield are keeping updated with the latest government guidelines. This allows us to act decisively with the best information available to us. We will publish any changes to our policy on our website and various social media platforms.

Please see below for the current status at each of our four venues:

Broadgate, London

The Deli Bar - the cafe and bar will be closed from 18th March 2020 until further notice. Consequently, performances in the Deli Bar (Buskers, Friday Night DJ and House of Q) are postponed until further notice. Stone Crabs Young Directors’ Festival is postponed until Autumn 2020.

Broadgate Theatre - performances in the theatre space are postponed until further notice.  If you have bought tickets for any postponed shows, a new date for the show or an alternative method of delivering the show is currently being worked out. As this is a fast moving and ever changing situation, we kindly request that you give us time to work out potential future dates or alternative options for you to choose from, before requesting a refund.

Deli Studios - the rehearsal studios will be closed from March 18th 2020 until April 30th 2020 (when we will review the situation) and our reception desk will be unstaffed. However, if there are arts organisations who have activities without a public audience which cannot be conducted remotely, we may be able to provide space in our self-contained Soho studios either free or for hire, depending on your circumstances. Please contact our Artistic Director Turan Ali [email protected] We are maintaining our spaces following the latest advice on hygiene. All of our studio spaces are self-contained rooms and you should satisfy yourselves that your group is conducting work that cannot be carried out remotely and that you adhere to the latest advice about going into a workplace.

Clients who have booked rehearsal space for use during our period of closure and have paid a deposit will automatically receive a credit note for the full amount paid. This you can use to book rehearsal space when you are sure of your new dates.  Alternatively, if you already know your new dates, please tell us on [email protected], or you can use this email address to request a refund. As we are a theatre charity, helping theatre artists and companies establish their careers in the creative arts, please consider donating part or all of your deposit to Theatre Deli, to help us provide spaces and support for theatre-makers, as soon as we are able to open again.

Tenants of our offices (both in the co-working open plan office and in the private, self-contained offices) are able to access their offices using their key cards at any time.

We are suspending usage of the members tables/hot desking spaces, because you will not be able to access the first floor without a key card and with reception being unstaffed.

Studio bookings are currently still being taken for dates from 1st April 2020 onwards.

Old Library, London

All public facing performances have been postponed until further notice. Rehearsals, residencies and usage throughout April have all been postponed.

Wingate House (Soho), London

Our new Soho venue can be made available for solo usage for rehearsal and artist development activities that cannot be conducted remotely and for companies who are following the latest social distancing advice. Please contact Artistic Director Turan Ali on [email protected] to discuss possibilities.

Theatre Deli Sheffield, 202 Eyre Street

Theatre Deli Sheffield will be closed until further notice.

We can still be reached by phone on 0114 2786500 or via email [email protected] Ticket holders for cancelled shows should have all received an email from us but if you have any other queries please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We hope to see you all again very soon. Stay safe Sheffield.

Much love from the team- Sara, Jess, Craig & Badger

Our business relies on people. People who book tickets to our shows and support the innovative artists we programme. People who use our bar and cafe facilities, which helps fund the creative work we do. Through this difficult and uncertain period, we rely on people like you to help us through this time. Theatre Deli is a registered charity and we support artists, start-ups and small businesses across our four venues. We intend to continue supporting those who rely on us. A donation, of any amount, your ticket price, your room hire deposit or part of it, would not only help us survive, but keep us supporting great artists making great and important art.

Many thanks for your support and understanding in these difficult times.
