A reading of a new piece performed by classically trained internationally recognised Contemporary Somatic (Soul) Dancer Naomi Marama Moon, NEU|RON deals with ontogenetic* identity and belonging stories held in the cells.

Its resolution theatre of and for a place for the global majority to be visible and celebrate the ' of -ness' of theatre environments as they've always been 'Tonae Pon Rane'* 'Let your neurology go free and Reign'.

*Ontogenetic means having a relationship to your environment that is connected to your heritage and the environments heritage.

*'Tonae Pon Rane' is Roman: 'Tonae', Celtic: 'Pon', Te Reo Maori: 'Rane'. It translates as: A day of celebration where the masculine and feminine elements become non binary so that all lifeforms may reign / be regal.

Traditionally held in the entry point to cities, which end in 'ton', common ground trading points referenced as 'Stairways to Heaven' would host a gala / festival and or performance on the 29th of July of each Gregorian year. This marks the day that Naomi Moon Dance was formed by Naomi Marama and inspiration for NEU|RON, which was the 29th July 2022.

Tonae Pon Rane is still observed in Naomi Marama Moon's birthplace Easton/ Stapelton, Bristol, UK.
