Deli Comedy is Theatre Deli's exciting new venture with the Deli Comedy Club and the Deli Comedy Festival!

Since its launch in December 2017, the Deli Comedy Club has hosted five comedy nights with the sixth and final night coming up this week with globally-acclaimed double act Max and Ivan (you can find tickets here).

The Deli Comedy Club has attracted local audiences from the surrounding Aylesbury Estate - once the largest public housing estate in Europe - and thus aims to be as accessible inclusive as possible.

Here, Theatre Deli works with the Creation Trust to provide £5 tickets for local residents for each night, where emerging comedians from under-represented backgrounds perform alongside established names.

In July, the Deli Comedy Club presents its biggest venture yet - the Deli Comedy Festival!

Romesh Ranganathan, Luisa Omielan and Marcus Brigstocke headline Theatre Deli’s new comedy festival at The Old Library in Burgess Park, Camberwell and Theatre Deli Broadgate.

Theatre Deli will bring these big names to small spaces across the capital this July with the first ever Deli Comedy Festival.

From world famous TV comedians to breakthrough acts, Theatre Deli are bringing together an eclectic month-long programme of high quality comedy in time for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The Deli Comedy Festival will feature stand-up, sketch comedy, character comedy, comedy theatre, musical comedy and even a comedy game-show at Deli’s two London venues - Theatre Deli Broadgate, in the heart of the City and the Old Library, nestled in Camberwell’s Burgess Park.

Alongside household names including Romesh Ranganathan, Luisa Omielan and Marcus Brigstocke, the festival also features over 40 of the most raved about comedians from the UK comedy circuit and beyond; comedians such as Harry Potter star Jessie Cave, Viceland’s Jamali Maddix, Irish hip hop comedian Abandoman and circuit favourite Felicity Ward.

Co-Artistic Director Roland Smith said “The Deli Comedy Festival is a great opportunity to get a sneak preview of some of the best comedy that will be appearing at this year’s Edinburgh Festival. Whether it is latest material from those names we know and love, or discovering the new generation of comics breaking through, we aim to bring an explosive burst of cutting edge comedy to audiences across London.”
