Every month, The Old Library hosts a night of comedy with a mixed bill of some of the finest award-winning comedians from the UK comedy circuit and beyond. This month’s line-up:

Max & Ivan are a globally acclaimed comedy double-act, who have performed their intricate multi-character live shows at SXSW festival, the Adelaide Fringe, the Edinburgh Fringe (where their work has been nominated for Best Comedy), and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (nominated for Most Outstanding Show), as well as on tour throughout the UK.


Samantha Baines is an English actress and comedian and resident MC at the Deli Comedy Club, best known for her appearances in Lee Nelson's Well Funny People, The Crown and Call the Midwife. Sam was a UK Pun Championship finalist 2017 (the only woman ever to be in the final), winner of the What the Frock best newcomer award 2015 and a Funny Women finalist 2014.

Inel Tomlinson is a Multi award nominated stand up and actor who exudes the type of magnetic charisma and talent that instantly demands your attention. Most recently he has appeared in two major and now international brand campaigns, became one of the main cast in CBBC’s Diddy TV, shot the new series of All over the Place Asia as the lead Presenter and has taken roles in numerous scripted comedy projects for Channel 4 and the BBC.

Sophie Duker describes herself as a “sexy-cerebral comedy underdog” and is quickly establishing herself as one of the most exciting new acts on the circuit. Later this year, Sophie will star in a comedy pilot for Channel 4 called Riot Girls, as well as a new pilot for Comedy Central UK called What I Wish I’d Said. She is also a comedy writer whose funnies you might have heard in the following places: the British Broadcasting Co-orporation (Famlam, BBC2; The News Quiz, The Now Show, BBC Radio 4) and Cartoon Network (The Amazing World of Gumball).

Cam Spence is a hotly-tipped new character comedian who won this year's Comedy Shorts Award at the Funny Women Awards for her film, Polly. This year, Cam will also star in Channel 4's comedy pilot for Channel 4 'Riot Girls' alongside Sophie Duker.
