Islands of Solace is presented as a kind of 'holiday presentation' as I lead the audience through my exploration of places across Sheffield as I move around in my wheelchair. Through photographs, commentary and poetry, I show the audience how one can become a Flâneur and appreciate the common, daily things around them.

Find out more about The Disabled Flâneur

I am a Sheffield-based artist and writer, currently working on a practice based PhD. My work questions the complex relationship of disability and urban ethnography, how Flânerie and psychogeographic practices can help us shift our perspectives and relationship to urban space and place.
