Happy 10 Year Living Wage Anniversary to Us!

This week is our 10 year anniversary of being accredited by the Living Wage Foundation.

Ten years ago we were the first UK theatre company to become a Living Wage UK Accredited employer, as reported in The Stage in 2014. Now there are 76 theatre companies accredited in the UK as Living Wage Employers. 

"The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate based on the cost of living. It is voluntarily paid by over 15,000 UK businesses who believe their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs - like the weekly shop, or a surprise trip to the dentist. Over 460,000 employees have received a pay rise as a result of the Living Wage campaign."

Back in 2014, the Living Wage was £7.65 per hour (£8.80 in London) and it's now £12.00 (£13.15 in London).
