This hirer agreement is applicable to all bookings made through CurvingRoad (hereafter Theatre Deli), through Theatre Deli’s websites, online booking system and by email with Theatre Deli staff, including those at spaces Theatre Deli operates directly, and those operated by third parties (including booking at SCRUM Studios).

The spaces operated by Theatre Deli and its chosen third-party partners exist with the aim of creating a diverse artistic community. Our hire policy exists to ensure that the inhabitants of the spaces work in a safe and comfortable environment. We therefore require all hirers of the spaces to read and ensure they adhere to the following terms.

The listed prices are subsided for individual artists, small groups, small charities and small theatre companies. If you are interested in booking these spaces for corporate events, other rates will apply. Please contact [email protected].

By confirming your booking with Theatre Deli, you agree to adhere to the following hirer policy. The terms of this agreement apply regardless of discount to space hire or provision of space ‘in-kind’ or without charge.

Within this policy the term ‘users’ refers to all hirers and their guests. Hirers are responsible for ensuring that they and all guests in their group are aware of the appropriate terms of this agreement and are responsible for the conduct of all guests in their group during their booking.

Hirers are required to treat requirements, rules, cancellations, inductions, health & safety and fire safety instructions made by the Deli’s third-party partners (including SCRUM Theatre) as if they were issued by Theatre Deli.

Any exceptions to the terms of this hire agreement are only valid if agreed by Theatre Deli staff in writing.

BOOKING TIMINGS

Bookings are available to begin and end on the hour (i.e. 1pm-2pm), for the full hour. Some times at some venues are only available as a block (i.e. an evening booking at 7-9pm).

Your booking time includes all set up and clear down time. Please factor this in when booking.

It is important that your session finishes on time as others may be using the room after you.

Please end your session with enough time to leave the studios at the venue’s closing time. We reserve the right to interrupt you to give notice of studios closing.

When rehearsing late in the evening, users must leave the premises quietly, and respect our neighbours.

We reserve the right to add additional charges for any over-run bookings in the space, early access

We encourage all hirers to read the accessibility information below and contact reception ahead of their booking if they or any guests in their group have any questions or concerns about using any Theatre Deli spaces.

USING THE SPACE

Please ensure you leave the space clean and tidy. Hoovers and cleaning materials are available for you to use should your space need cleaning after you have finished your session. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping the studios tidy for other users.

No items may be left in the room.

We reserve the right to add additional charges for left items or rooms/areas left in an unclean state. Any damage to the space or mess left as a result of your use will be invoiced to hirers, and will include the time and labour required to restore the space.

Users must observe all signage and remain in venue areas occupied and managed by Theatre Deli. Please do not wander through other parts of the building or disturb other occupiers.

No smoking is permitted in the building or any of the fire exits at any time. Smoking areas can be found outside each of our spaces. Please observe any signage designating areas in which smoking is, or is not, permitted.

NOISE

Deli Studios are 'meanwhile-use spaces' and are not purpose-built rehearsal rooms. Due to this, only certain studios are available for music, musical instruments, singing and recorded sound – these are noted on the online form when booking. If music, instruments, singing or recorded sound are used in any other studios and prove disturbing to others, we reserve the right to ask for equipment to be turned down or off and volume levels to be respected. The rehearsal spaces in the building are often close together; please show courtesy to others in the premises by keeping noise to an acceptable level. Persistently loud noise during a booking that is incompatible with the normal hire of our studios will incur cancellation by Theatre Deli.
