Artist Development On Yer Bike - Artist Applications On Yer Bike is a cycling theatrical adventure across London, showcasing five exciting new pieces of work inspired by cyclists, bikes and #cyclinglife. On Yer Bike will take place on Sunday, 22nd September, and is a part of Theatre Deli’s Scratch Residencies Scheme and a co-production between William Orton and Theatre Deli. Are you… A cycle-enthusiast artist, who thinks that cycling is the best way to get across London? A comedian, poet, or spoken word artist who would like to test cycling-specific material in front of a live audience? A circus trained artist or dancer who’s exploring new performances related to bikes? And are you looking to collaborate with four different companies to create a pop-up performance in Central London? We are now accepting applications from theatre makers, companies and artists with a passion for cycling to create new pieces of work, and to get audiences excited about exploring and playing on the streets of London. If you have a story about cycling to tell, want to make theatre on bikes or even make theatre out of bikes, we want to hear from you. This beautiful grade II listed building is a welcoming and safe space to create. “Theatre Deli have created something that transcends space or venue. They have built a very large, very warm, incredibly supportive theatre family… I'm grateful to the Deli Team for all of the artist support they offer, because it's that careful degree of thought, support, and forward-thinking that keeps this whole thing together.” - Kintsugi, 2-Week Residency of "Routes", which is currently under commission by Without Walls and The Greenwich and Docklands International Festival.
