Monday 20th May - Monday 3rd June

What makes a self-portrait interesting to look at?  What are we looking at in a self-portrait? What would happen if the medium that has been invented to show an action, shows no action - is still and does “nothing”?

Departing has sprung into existence following the bewildering experience of becoming a mother, and it reflects the identity crises that came with it. The piece explores how limitations can serve as an opportunity to take us on a surprising journey and bring an unexpected fulfilment.

Departing is a part of a video installation Time of Stillness, which was exhibited at WWW Gallery - Queens Park; at the Croatian Embassy, London; at the Desperate Artwives’ pop-up exhibition in Lower Marsh, Waterloo; and at the Museum of Labin, Croatia.
