They have been a driving force within the arts for over 10 years, supporting emerging companies whose work sits outside traditional theatre. In 2018 the organisation supported over 11,000 artists, collaborated with more than 200 partner organisations, and commissioned 20 new pieces of work. Currently occupying 3 venues across London and Sheffield, they work to develop diverse audiences, expand the cultural offering, and provide safe environments for artists at every stage of their career to experiment, trial & showcase new work.

Theatre Deli welcomes applications for the position of a full-time, salaried Marketing Manager.

The Marketing Manager is integral to Theatre Deli’s success, by developing & managing a marketing strategy for Theatre Deli’s 2 London venues which encompasses a range of different business strands: theatre venues, a City bar/cafe, rehearsal room studios and artist support services.  

The role will be responsible for driving Theatre Deli's brand, working with the Artistic Director, to ensure that Theatre Deli continues to grow it's reputation as a key supporter of the independent theatre industry.  

This is a hugely varied role that will give hands on experience of leading an organisation's marketing and communications and would suit a dynamic marketing officer looking for a step-change in their career.



  • Develop an organisational marketing strategy that promotes Theatre Deli's vision and mission
  • Oversee venue teams delivering marketing including the Sheffield Marketing & Events Coordinator and Producers, the Old Library's Producer, and Broadgate's Producing team
  • Manage marketing and communications for Theatre Deli London’s two venues
  • Commission and edit blog content from guest contributors
  • Write ad hoc blog content for theatredeli.co.uk
  • Write media releases for season and festival openings
  • Write copy and collate information for quarterly brochure
  • Manage and deliver annual review
  • Support Company Producer in writing Audience Development plans for Arts Council Applications
  • Support General Manager of Deli Experiences in creating and delivering marketing strategy for the Deli Bar


  • Oversee the creation of compelling content for print materials, web content, e-newsletters, social media posts, videos, and advertisements to reach varied audiences across multiple platforms
  • Generate and update content on theatredeli.co.uk using a bespoke CMS
  • Monitor and review web analytics for theatredeli.co.uk and social media channels 
  • Use analytics to drive social media strategy
  • Manage main website for all 3 UK venues as well as 3 subsites 
  • Create email newsletters for London venues
  • Manage and maintain Theatre Deli’s MailChimp lists


  • Manage Theatre Deli’s design kit and nation-wide branding
  • Design print and digital materials using Canva and/or InDesign 

Relationship Management

  • Manage marketing interns and work placements
  • Manage marketing relationship with Theatre Deli Classes Members
  • Manage social partnerships with theatres, Broadgate, and OneCityLdn
  • Manage relationships with local press & media outlets
  • Manage and maintain Theatre Deli’s relationship with freelance and contracted graphic designers 
  • Manage Theatre Deli's relationship with Raising IT


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving ability, and excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and online advertising practices, including Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, PPC Marketing and Google Adwords.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing (ideally within an arts organisation).
  • Motivated to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines at a time.

£26,000-£28,000 per annum depending upon experience

Probation: 3 months
Notice period: 1 week during probation period, 1 month thereafter
