This consultancy is open to all, but we we specifically encourage Black artists and companies to take advantage of this opportunity and will prioritise our response to Black artists and companies, in recognition of the long-term systematic barriers to success for Black people within the arts industry. Our Artistic Director Turan Ali has been producing drama and comedy for the BBC for nearly 30 years. He has also written drama, comedy and short stories for the BBC and trains writers, producers and directors internationally in story theory, story structure, comedy and drama idea development, creative format theory and development, soap opera writing and production and many other areas. He was previously Executive Director of The Bunker Theatre (Fringe Theatre of the Year - The Stage Awards 2020), and was Associate Producer of The Hope Theatre.
