Theatre Deli have launched a recruitment drive for a new Chair and Board of Trustees for the charity that runs the organisation, CurvingRoad, after Thomas Wilson has announced he will be standing down as the Chair from July 2019 after 6 years on the Board.

The organisation has run 10 "pop-up" venues over the last 10 years, in collaboration with some of the UK's largest property developers including British Land, Standard Aberdeen and Grosvenor. It transforms empty and unused spaces into thriving arts centres, in order to create more opportunities for local people to make, participate and experience art.

Thomas says, 'Theatre Deli have been on an incredible journey over the 6 years I've been serving as a Board member and Chair. They have gone from a volunteer run organisation 'squatting' derelict buildings, to one of the leading lights of the arts industry supporting over 11,000 artists every year. It is with huge sadness that my tenure is up, but the perfect point in the organisation's growth for a new Chair to take the reins.'

Theatre Deli are looking for leadership with strong business flair to support the organisation has it heads into a new era, with the company splitting into 3 businesses over 3 venues, including a new bar & cafe brand, and a new 3-year artistic strategy and leadership model.

Jess Brewster, Artistic & Executive Director, says, 'This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Theatre Deli. By joining the Board you'll be supporting a new generation of artists who are driving social change, creating boundary-breaking work, and helping us build on the huge potential within the new business model.'
