“As much as racism might piss me off, I’d never want to have been born anyone other than myself in this culture and time.” - Akala

For this Tales of Whatever special, we focus on race and individuality. We’ll be bringing you four speakers of different racial identities telling true tales of their own lives. The stories could be about anything; from a happy memory to a dark past, a birthday party gone wrong to being bullied in school. All we do know is that they will have something to do with the storytellers’ race.

Accompanied by live music or poetry.
