Sharp Scratches present new writing nights with a political edge. They receive new work from writers from all different backgrounds and levels (sometimes up to 400 submissions) and a team of readers narrow it down to a handful of pieces. They cast them, rehearse them in only 4 hours – and bring them to life!

Sharp Scratches are dedicated to championing new writers and getting their work up onstage. Each scratch as a different edition, hoping to facilitate and ignite necessary conversation, they are not here to shy away from difficult topics. In this scratch, on 24th February, the Tackling Mental Health edition - Sharp Scratches are showcasing some stories that otherwise are ignored or overlooked.

Let's start a conversation by injecting some necessary new voices into theatre.

It’s just a sharp scratch.
