Plus a special treat: Join us behind the scenes, meet the performers and share your thoughts about the show!Join us at the cosy Old Library in Burgess Park for four 20 minute shows for the whole family, with a focus on puppetry, circus and interactive performances. Expect music, fun and laughter!After each performance, the children and grown-ups will be invited to comment about what they liked the most and what they'd like to see more of. The artists' will then return to their rehearsal process with this invaluable feedback!You are also invited to have a glass of juice (or something stronger if you're of the right age) at the Old Library Cafe and carry on the conversation with the dancers and actors. The cafe will be serving tea, coffee, fruit shots and oaty bars.Our last family show at the Old Library completely sold-out, so if you're free to join us, advance booking is highly recommended. THE ADVENTURES OF ARI AND THE DISAPPEARING HAND by Less Theatre Meet Ari, an adventurous 9 year-old boy, who one evening falls through a portal found in an old, un-read book. Confused and little disorientated to say the least, he lands in a world that looks forgotten and derelict, where people are fading, disappearing like they have never existed. Determined to find out how to stop, Ari sets out on a quest and along the way meets some fantastic women who help him any way they can, each imparting a little bit of their story onto him. HOW EVA WON THE WAR (A HISTORY LESSON LIKE NO OTHER) by Stephanie Ware Eva loved to be the centre of attention. One day she accidentally signed up to become a spy in WWII. After completing crazy missions in France and Russia, she was sent on the most dangerous mission of all, where her enemy gets taken away…and her special friendship wins the day. PSHE CIRCUS by Natalie Verhaegen & Julia CookPshe Circus explores communication issues, and enables children to view and explore different tools they could use whilst superbly illustrating it with prop manipulation and physical choreography. Crafted to work side by side with the PSHE curriculum it lifts these ideas off the page and into the imagination.
