An evening of groundbreaking new music featuring artists from an astonishing range of cultures, responding to each other to create 3 specially commissioned pieces. With support from the Interplay Collective, a group of local migrant and settled musicians who’ve been working together since June in partnership with Virtual Migrants, Sheffield Refugee Council, Migration Matters Festival, Theatre Deli and Koni Music. Expect sounds from Central Africa, the Middle East, India, UK and other geographies and cultures collaborating in distinctively new ways....

About the Artist

Mina Salama is a composer and multi-instrumentalist, who plays Oud, the Nay and Kawala flutes, which have roots in the Pharaonic era about 4,000 years ago, and the qanoon and Armenian duduk. He is also a member of the Manchester International Roots Orchestra.
