Based on personal experience, ‘B.A.R.E’ is a naked truth about attempting to navigate through the technicalities of finding love, told by Duong who is vulnerable and with a big heart. It is honest and funny story of a foreigner, a queer with full of hopes before he arrived the country.

This show is for anyone who has or has not done dating online. Anyone who hates or loves dating online and anyone that thinks they might be unlovable.

The performance serves the artist’ request of raising the issue of racism in LGBT+ community.

About the Artist:

Duong Trieu Nguyen is a performer and writer, originally from Vietnam. This is his debut show as a solo artist. He is using personal experience to make unapologetic work which inspires change in social hang-ups. He trained at the Sheffield Hallam University in Musical Theatres and the University of East London in Applied Theatre. The performance serves the artist’ request of representing his identity South East Asian and also raises the issue of racism in LGBT+ community.
