We Go Round In Circles (Not Like Dancers) by Paper People Theatre

Friday 19th July, 7.30pm

Duration: 1 hr

You enter a space, the performers have done this before, and they will go again. Inspired by and a reaction to the current political climate, this piece explores the relationship between the performers, the space and you, the audience. There is a start to this piece, but where it goes from there is for you to decide. But do you have all the right information? I guess you’ll just have to trust us. Using a mix of visual arts, movement, acro-balance and moments of BSL, Paper People Theatre present We Go Round In Circles (Not Like Dancers).

About the company

Paper People Theatre are a company based in Manchester and make contemporary performance work that explores the relationship between performers and the performance space. They create work that is devised through exploration of socio-political themes, allowing for playful and engaging work that seeks to strike a chord with its audience. The language and form is often dissected and restructured using movement, visual storytelling, text and music and where these sections intertwine with one another, reflecting our world in theirs.

The cafe/bar and the People’s Palace of Possibility installation will be open half an hour before each event. A Future Fantastic Festival is presented by The Bare Project in collaboration with Ruskin in Sheffield, Centre for Understanding Sustainable Prosperity, Theatre Deli and The Guild of St  George.
