Purpose of the Role: 

Theatre Deli at Broadgate is a place-making project that delivers a unique creative and artistic space in the City of London. Consisting of Deli Studios, a vibrant arts cafe & bar, and a performance space. 

We're looking for a Receptionist/Assistant Studio Manager to manage reception and bookings for all hires at Theatre Deli’s ‘Deli Studios’ at Broadgate and assist in the smooth operation of all aspects of studio activity. Responsibilities will include managing bookings, contributing to marketing, maintaining reception area, assisting with the upkeep of the venue, and maintaining relationships with studio users, contractors, and stakeholders. 

Terms:

Location: Broadgate, Liverpool Street Station, London EC2M 2PF 

Salary : £10.55/hr

Hours: 18-22 hours per week, 

Shifts patterns are:

Mon-Fri, 9:30-16:00 or 16:00-22:30 & weekends 9:30-14:00 orr 14:00-18:30

Please note that some weekend and evening shifts will be a requirement. 

Holiday Pay : Statutory part-time holiday calculated by hours worked

Contract type: Minimum hours contract 

Responsibilities: 

  • To provide excellent customer service at all times, in line with Theatre Deli customer service standards 
  • To manage bookings and invoicing for studio and space hires
  • To support Head of Venue in ensuring that the venue is adhering to the highest possible standard of health and safety protocols, including fire safety, environmental health, building regulations and security 
  • To be a brand advocate at all time and be the first point of contact for all Deli Studios enquiries 
  • Box Office/Duty Management of performances in Broadgate Theatre
  • To ensure a warm, clean, welcoming and creative space for all our users and visitors 
  • To ensure that all venue facilities and utilities are in full working order, providing maintenance & repairs where needed including changing lights
  • To ensure that facilities are properly stocked, and to order new stock when required
  • To support the Marketing Manager by contributing to the social media schedule and targeted mailouts 

Person Specification:

  • A passion for the arts
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships both internally and externally 
  • The ability to efficiently and quickly problem-solve and find solutions
  • The ability to maturely deal with difficult people and create solutions
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure, with an ability to deal with a fast-moving, dynamic workplace 
  • Experience of and confidence in using Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Google’s suite of cloud based IT systems
  • Experience of website administration
